Raindrops stream down a tall window above a cushioned seat, where an open book, a teacup, a glowing lantern and a candle keep company with a sleeping tabby cat. Painterly gouache in slate blue and lamplight amber gives the scene a soft, warm glow. Slate-blue handles complete the palette.
